FAQs
If you can’t find the answer you’re looking for, feel free to reach out to us directly. Our team is always ready to assist with any queries you may have about our services.
What are your usual lead times?
That depends on the type and size of the job, availability of materials and what else is booked in at that particular time.
What is the process for getting work done?
The first stage after you have made contact is for a date to be agreed on for a site visit. We will come and discuss the job with you, and shortly after that you will receive a quotation. Subject that meeting with your approval, a date will be agreed for commencing the work.
On what do you base your quotes?
It’s a combination of our estimation of the time the job will take and the materials that are required for the job (at the time of the quote).
What if material costs change?
Should this happen, for example, if there is a delay between the quote and when you authorise us to start the work, we will advise you of any changes to the quoted cost before starting the job.
Are final bills always the same as your quotes?
Yes, mostly. However, in our experience, once we arrive on site, customer requirements often change! For example, you might decide you want us to build another cupboard or extend the new flooring into an additional area.
Also, sometimes our quote can be inaccurate because the customer has not undertaken work they had intended to do themselves or to get done prior to the job commencing, for example, clearing out the working area or having another tradesperson complete wiring, plumbing, etc.
So it’s not unusual for us to have to adjust our quote accordingly. But we work very hard to update quotes at the earliest opportunity and check with customers that they are still happy to proceed.
